    His Royal Highness, Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, opened this morning, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 AD, the activities of the “Training Forum in the Light of Digital Transformation” organized by the Asharqia Chamber represented by the Training Center, with the participation of several experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom. , and representatives of many government and private agencies and major companies.
    His Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Province, praised the efforts made by the Asharqia Chamber to develop and qualify national cadres, through many programs and courses that target young men and women in the region and raise their capabilities, in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
    His Highness said, "Training and qualifying people is one of the mission objectives set by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and we see its fruits, praise be to God, through many governments and private programs aimed at developing capabilities and raising the efficiency of male and female workers in various fields."​
    The forum included the establishment of four dialogue sessions that dealt with several topics related to digital transformation in the fields of training and qualification for national cadres. Training in building leadership competencies and empowering leaders, in addition to highlighting the models of training centers and platforms and their role in meeting training needs and their reflections on the quality of the training process and trainees, as well as specialized academies, to monitor successful experiences of them in the local training market, and to determine their contribution and evaluation of their performance in meeting the needs of training.

    Qualitative leaps
    In his speech at the forum, His Excellency the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, reviewed aspects of the Kingdom’s achievements in the fields of training, and pointed out what the Kingdom has achieved under its wise leadership in terms of qualitative leaps in several areas during the past few years, and said that there are Many of the factors that helped the Kingdom excel and achieve rapid developments in reaching advanced positions in global indicators, on top of which comes the existence of a promising vision, the implementation of which today is shared by ambitious young men and women, working to contribute to building the nation through their positions in all bodies, ministries, and institutions Government agencies and the private sector.​
    His Excellency added that the Kingdom has a clear line in its efforts to expand the economic base and keep pace with the qualitative transformations driven by digital acceleration around the world, as the efforts of the various sectors in the Kingdom have proven their progress in the digital revolution, to be in the ranks of the advanced countries in this field, and the best evidence of this is the Kingdom’s launch of many National strategies and programs that will contribute to expanding the economic base, supported by digital transformation.

    Al-Fuhaid said that to support the efforts exerted and to empower Vision 2030 with qualified national cadres, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, in partnership with various business sectors, worked to keep pace with this transformation in all training models, as digital colleges were launched in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province, and the expansion of specialized colleges, and strategic partnership institutes, which provide qualitative training according to the latest technologies for various business sectors, in addition to opening more than 230 branches of international academies within facilities to enhance skills and link them to the labor market.
    250 thousand beneficiaries
    He pointed out that through nearly 1,500 training facilities, including governmental and private training facilities, and strategic and global partnerships, the Corporation works according to an integrated system to achieve the objectives of its strategic plan, which among its priorities is to support digital transformation and institutional excellence. Services for more than 250 thousand beneficiaries in training facilities, and how the Foundation has supported private training facilities, through the electronic market platform (Manar), which provides electronic registration and payment services, as well as search and comparison between training courses, which are provided by more than 1200 private training facilities on The level of the Kingdom, where the number of its visitors reached more than 4 million, and it is used by more than 800,000 users. The Foundation has recently won the Project Management Excellence Award for this platform for the year 2022 AD.​ 

    Developmental needs
    For his part, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Badr bin Sulaiman Al-Raziza said that holding this forum comes as an extension of the Chamber’s efforts in emphasizing the importance of qualifying national cadres in new disciplines and fields in line with the requirements of the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and its development needs in line with the rapid technological transformations, pointing out that training represents one of the most important activities Developing human cadres and raising the level of their performance and productivity.
    Al-Raziza stressed that in the face of what we see today in the great and multifaceted development, whether in management systems or digital technology, all of us must keep pace with these developments and work to keep pace with them so that our human resources can perform their tasks to the fullest extent, as they are the solid base and the main engine of construction in our economy the National.

    His Excellency the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, explained that the Corporation is moving forward to restore the governance of the training sector, to simulate global developments, through the development of specializations needed by the labor market, and the expansion of institutes and colleges, taking into account the quality of training outputs. ; Emphasizing partnership with the private sector and other government agencies.

    During the dialogue session with the Chairman of the Eastern Region Chamber, Mr. Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza, within the program of the Training Forum in Light of Digital Transformation, which was organized by the Chamber today, Wednesday, Al-Fuhaid said that the world is witnessing successive developments at the digital level, and the Kingdom is not isolated from these developments and has achieved qualitative achievements and reached to Advanced centers on a global level, but these achievements need to be sustained and supplemented with follow-up, and this can only be done with more training and qualification to build capacity.
    On the most important skills that should be focused on, Al-Fuhaid said that digital change threatens many jobs, as the machine has replaced humans, but some jobs are not performed by machine, so some statistics indicate that 50% of employees may lose their jobs if they are not rehabilitated, so they should be rehabilitated. The presence of specialized training, as we have specializations that the country needs, and we are working on the participation of the private sector in technical and professional disciplines, in addition to personal skills that should be focused on such as communication skills, commitment skills, discipline, as well as thinking skills .. directing private training facilities to go to such skills And away from stereotypes, and we look forward to attracting the worker not only for his testimony but for his skill as well.
    Al-Fuhaid stressed the importance of partnership with the private sector, explaining more than two million male and female trainees were trained through private training facilities during the past year, which means that an important role awaits the private sector in this field, as we work within the general direction of the state, which is a partnership with the private sector.
    His Excellency the Governor mentioned that the Foundation has its facilities all over the Kingdom in dedicated and equipped buildings, and it has 34 correctional institutes. He pointed out that there is a special committee that looks into professional certificates, and 177 international professional certificates have been accredited in many vital fields.

    In the first session moderated by the Chamber’s Board Member, Nouf bint Abdulaziz Al-Turki, the Vice President of Human Resources at Saudi Aramco, Faisal bin Abdulrahman Al-Hajji, and the Director of the Local Workforce Solutions Department at SABIC, Dr. Wajih bin Osama Magrabih spoke Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Bawazeer, Director General of the Academy of Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, And the General Manager of Talent Management at Ma’aden, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Enezi, whose axes dealt with future jobs and training trends according to modern technologies towards them, as well as the measurements used to know the return on investment in human resources on facilities, and the role of training in building leadership competencies and empowering leaders. The speakers emphasized that the transformation Digital is one of the topics that need high attention, whether at the professional or personal level, and it is not an option now in light of the rapid developments that the world is currently witnessing, but rather a necessity for individuals and institutions to engage in implementing its requirements and dealing with its needs, and it is not a new science but rather a building of new skills. It can keep pace with the digital transformation system, which has become a feature in various productive sectors, and they pointed out that there is a generational gap; The vision of the previous generation differs from the current generation in terms of digital transformation, which requires training officials and training program authors to work on providing training programs that keep pace with the ideas, vision, and behavior of the current generation, and they stressed the importance of the training process heading towards what is required by future jobs related to cloud applications and artificial intelligence. Cyber ​​security and other functions of modern technologies are expected to prevail in the coming years, and the training process does not go to one party without the other, and be integrative and holistic, which also includes leaders within the institutions, provided that it is motivating the leaders and not only to measure performance but to raise awareness among them, pointing out Today, artificial intelligence is responsible for auditing declarations and guiding leaders, and there is a global trend to increase digital knowledge in training programs, noting that the volume of investments in modern learning technologies has recently reached, according to studies, nearly $315 billion globally, and it is cumulatively increasing, including 20% up to 2026.



    Second session:
    As for the second session, which was entitled (training platforms in the Saudi market), the participants discussed the role of these platforms in meeting training needs, and their impact on the quality of the training process and trainees, with a review of selected models of platforms specialized in electronic training in the Saudi market.
    During this session, the Director General of E-Training on the Enrichment Platform at the Institute of Public Administration, Dr. Hani bin Iftikhar Al-Turkistani, the Director of the Digital Transformation Department - the General Organization for Vocational and Technical Training, Dr. Abdul-Malik bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammad, and the head of the e-training program (Doroob) at the Human Resources Development Fund “Hadaf” spoke Shahira bint Hussein Al Sahib, and founder and general manager of the Kuwaiti (Training) platform, Zaid bin Muhammad Al-Lahib. The session was chaired by the researcher and education and training consultant Amal bint Muhammad Al-Kinani.
    The participants stressed that in light of the digital transformation, the role of platforms in providing training programs is confirmed, which may be short or long and varied, and that these platforms are integrated, according to the authority supervising them, but they all meet the demand for training in the market, and it was an important option In this regard during the Corona pandemic period.

    Third session
    In the third session, entitled: The Experience of Specialized Academies, the Director of Shared Services at the Saudi Petroleum Services Technical Institute, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Otaibi spoke that the Institute’s success is measured by the success of the companies to which we provide services, noting that the Institute, from 2010 to 2020, witnessed Graduating 10,000 trainees, stressing that the institute is open with all impressions and opinions through which it can fly its tools.
    The founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Academy of Culinary Arts "ZADK" Rania Bint Younes Mualla explained during the session, which was moderated by the specialist and consultant in human resources, Engineer Ahmed Al-Zahrani, that ZADIC is looking for students with certain specifications to be sure of its outputs, indicating that the Board of Directors of ZADIC Academy is keen On the application of the best international standards in the field of training, which made us distinguished by successful outputs inside and outside the Kingdom through our recent graduation of several students in the Sultanate of Oman.
    The Director General of the Saudi Water Academy, Eng. Fawaz bin Ali Al-Ghamdi said that the success of the Academy is summed up by the success of 33 innovators who were able to establish their businesses and succeed in it.
    And the Executive Vice President for Human Capital Development at the Saudi Digital Academy, Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, said that the academy continues to invest in human resources, pointing out that the "Res" program was recently launched, which is concerned with accepting applicants in various fields, and the program is working to develop their skills through various tracks and specializations.​
